What exactly is coaching?

Life coaching is a forward-focused partnership. Unlike therapy, which often explores the past, coaching is about where you want to go and what's getting in the way. We work together to clarify your goals, identify your blocks, and build the momentum to move forward with accountability and support at every step.

Question 2

How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?

Accepted Answer

Therapy typically focuses on healing past wounds and mental health conditions. Coaching assumes you're already capable and resourceful. It's about unlocking that potential and directing it toward the future you want. If you're dealing with clinical mental health concerns, I'll always recommend the right professional support alongside or instead of coaching.

Do I need to have a specific goal to start coaching?

Not at all. Many clients come in knowing something needs to change but not yet knowing what. Part of the early work is gaining that clarity together. You just need to be open to the process. The goals often emerge naturally from our first conversations.

Question 4

What does a typical coaching session look like?

Sessions are 60 minutes, held via video call (MS Teams). (However, in-person sessions may be possible if you’re based in London but will incur an extra charge due to costs such as travel and room bookings.) We start by checking in on where you are, then dive into whatever is most alive for you right now, whether that's a specific challenge, a decision you're wrestling with, or progress on a longer-term goal. I'll ask powerful questions, reflect back what I'm hearing, and help you find your own clarity and next steps.

How often will we meet?

Most clients meet fortnightly, which gives enough time between sessions to take action and reflect. Some prefer weekly sessions during intensive periods of change. We'll agree on a rhythm that works for you at the start of our work together.

Question 6

How long does coaching take to see results?

Accepted Answer

Many clients notice a shift in perspective within the first two or three sessions. Deeper, lasting change typically unfolds over three to six months. That said, every person's journey is different where some breakthroughs happen quickly, others take time to integrate. We'll check in regularly to make sure the work is serving you.

How much does coaching cost?

Sessions are priced individually and as part of longer programmes. A single 60-minute session is £95. A programme of six sessions is £570, and a programme of twelve sessions is £1,140 (both programmes include email support between sessions). In-person sessions in London are available at an additional charge to cover travel and room costs.

Do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes. Every new client starts with a free 15-minute discovery call. It's a no-pressure conversation to explore what you're looking for, ask any questions, and see whether we're a good fit before any commitment is made.

Question 9

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Payment is made in advance of each session or programme via bank transfer or card. For programmes, you can pay in full upfront or split across the first two sessions (just let me know what works best for you).

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice can be rescheduled at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full. I understand that life is unpredictable and will always try to be as flexible as possible but please just reach out as soon as you know.

Where do sessions take place?

All sessions are held online via video call, so you can work with me from anywhere in the world. All you need is a quiet space, a reliable internet connection, and 60 minutes of uninterrupted time. However, in-person sessions may be possible if you’re based in London but will incur an extra charge due to costs such as travel and room bookings

What if I need to reschedule a session?

Life happens. I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule without charge. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be forfeited, but I always try to be flexible where I can. Please reach out and we'll find a solution.

How do I get started?

The first step is a free 15-minute discovery call. There's no commitment and it's simply a chance for us to meet, talk about what you're looking for, and see if we're a good fit. If it feels right for both of us, we'll agree on a programme and get started.
